For the month of December, The Connelly Gallery will host the works of two artists in its art gallery. In the Main Gallery, Angela Cook will present abstract acrylic paintings inspired by Expressionism. In the Exhibition Room, John Carroll will display landscape and still life paintings done in oil. The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for walk-in visits. Below are the artists' statements.

“I'm a local abstract expressionism artist that weaves together my love of old ways with a modern twist. What inspires me is the vibrations of music and trying to capture those images floating in my mind's eye. I have shown my art pieces in many venues around town over the past seizures years.”-Angela Cook

"I paint because of a desire to express deeply personal interpretations of the world around me. Sometimes directly, other times with much thought and planning, I'll show as best I can the effect or influence a subject brings to me. I do this, for the most part, through applying a mixture of Abstract principles and Representational Imagery."-John Carroll
