Les Poules a Colin are a young band from Qubec's Lanaudire region, famous for its traditional music: they learned their craft from the finest in the genre. On top of their natural talent, energy and respect for the repertoire, they have beautifully arranged both original and folk-trad tunes and songs for fiddle, foot percussion, twin vocals, guitars, banjo, mandolin and electric bass. fRoots calls it "A new take on Qubcois folk". For those curious, the group's name comes from a traditional song that translates in English to "Colin's Hens". Tickets are available at the pre-show discounted price of $18 or $20 at the door.
