Jubilation! Women’s Vocal Ensemble to Perform in EOH Fundraiser The Earlville Opera House is pleased to host a fundraiser featuring local favorites Jubilation! Women’s Vocal Ensemble Friday August 18 at 8 PM. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the historic Earlville Opera House. Community events like this one allow the Earlville Opera House to continue bringing world-quality live musical performances and art installations to central New York, and facilitates the art education workshops and classes hosted for adults and children of all ages. Jubilation! Women’s Vocal Ensemble was started in 2007 with nine members. Since that time, the group has doubled in size and become a valuable part of the Hamilton community. Members range in both age and background. Though Jubilation! is based in Hamilton, members come from as far as Brookfield and Rome to participate. One of the goals of the ensemble is to bring a variety of different music to each performance; some music is intended to uplift the audience, and some music shares a deep-rooted, powerful message. It is also important to them to create an environment of friendship and support. One of the things that is unique about Jubilation! is their goal of giving back. After each concert, a portion of the proceeds are given to an elected organization that they feel is deserving. Some of these are close to home, such as Vera House and HCS Friends of Music.
